In this issue of Spilling The Beans @ The Java Cafe we tackle roasting at home using a skillet. Next month we will look at another home roasting method. Once you have roasted you beans, we will share a Doppio. Sounds exotic right? Well it is really easy to make. To finish off this issue we will highlight some new coffee recipes you have sent in this month and point you to some brand new ones just posted in time for this issue.

Home Roasting - Skillet (Wok) Method

In this articles, we run you through a how-to on home roasting. Yes, home roasting without those expensive roasting machines. Before it became commercialized (or industrialized) home roasting was the way people roasted their coffee beans. The home roasting process started to disappear back in the late 1800's just before business took it on. Next time your friends are enjoy a cup of coffee you can tell then its your personal signature blend roast that they are enjoying!!
