Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee or Blue Mountain Coffee is one of the most sought after, and so, the most expensive coffees in the world. Famous for its exquisite mild nutty flavors, excellent body and bold aromas, subtle spices and tempered acidity. This is a coffee connioseurs prize.

The best known old estates that produce Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee are Wallenford Estate and Mavis Bank. After some deregulation in the 80's other estates, such as Old Tavern have commenced production. While Old Tavern, has produced wonderful crops, some of the newer 'farms' may not hold to the qualities the more established labels produce.A few other points that should be made: * Jamaican High Mountain coffee is sometimes confused with Blue. These are different coffees, and you will notice it when you try them.
* Blue Montain Blends must be considered carefully. Some blends are minimal Blue Mountain, with alot more 'blend'. Just remember, you get what you pay for! This is doubly important when considering a Blue Mountain Blend Coffee.
Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee, with Kona Coffee, stands out as the beans of choice thanks to their incredibly rich character. Expect to pay 2-3 times more, but I'm sure you will consider it money well spent.
