Grillo Moka Pot Review

Looking for a designer Moka Pot? The Grillo Moka Pot might fit the bill. It's a little two cup Moka Pot that has loads of style. It has a two tube spout that comes around from the back of the Moka Pot that feeds into the short black cups sitting on a shiny polished stainless steel ledge that sits above the water chamber and coffee basket.

Yes, yes, it looks good but what's the coffee like. Well it's a Moka Pot. It delivers strong espresso coffee. It is neither good or bad. But having this type of Moka Pot is more about the presentation of the Moka Pot first and foremost, rather than the quality of the coffee it delivers.

The other benefit (or drawback depending on how you look at it) is the size. It's delivers two short blacks (fullstop).

So how does it clean? Aside from the aluminium spouts, and steel basket, its all 18-10 polished stainless steel. This makes cleaning the Grillo Moka Pot relatively easy. And like most Moka Pots, it comes apart into several pieces for easy cleaning. Oh yeah, it's Made in Italy too.

Given its styling, expect to pay quite a bit more than the traditional Moka Pot jug style. So yes, its expensive.

In summary, stylish, pricey and delivers acceptable espresso. I say acceptable because of the price. This isn't a bang-for-your-buck type of brewer. But it will make a statement.
