Gaggia Syncrony Compact Digital: High Price, Not High Quality.

Community Reviewer, Steve.

Gaggia Syncrony Compact Digital

Pros Good milk frothing

Cons Plastic parts
Just passed 1yr warranty, now needs repair.
Hard to clean

Review I purchased the Gaggia Syncrony Compact Digital espresso machine about 2 years ago, and it made a good espresso and had a good milk frothing nozzle. But after only 10 months the machine started to leak from underneath the base and the steam knob also had steam leaking from it. The machine was repaired under warranty, and I was told that the leaks were due to a faulty steam knob. The machine has just gone out of warranty when the fault occurred again - no free repair this time! Water is pouring out of the bottom of the machine every time it is turned on.

I would not recommend this machine. The machine is low quality plastic that is not up to the task. It also does not make a very hot cup of coffee, regardless of setting it to the highest temperature. The coffee container and the unit itself is also hard to clean.

This is definitely not a case of you get what you pay for. My last word, I would not recommend this machine.
